Victory, unity and fun in England

From November 3-6, the youth, men’s and women’s teams gathered in Bristol for a rugby trip that included two big wins, a match at the stadium and lots of good memories. Friday saw the departure from Kastrup to Heathrow, London, from where a bus was arranged to the hotel in Bristol. After checking in, the rest of the evening was all about socializing. Some found a pub, others a bite to eat, and some went to bed early to be ready for Saturday’s matches. On Saturday, we set off together for North Dorset. A couple of hours bus ride in the green and hilly English countryside, where the sun defied an otherwise wet weather forecast and shone from a cloudless sky. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the local enthusiasts of North Dorset, which looked like a real rugby clubhouse. The U14s started our match day and delivered a solid 52-10 victory against the local hosts. The men’s team followed suit and won 92-7. Unfortunately, both North Dorset’s 1st and 2nd teams were in action in their respective leagues, which meant we played against the 3rd team, who turned out to be a few weight classes below. But it was a fun game, and the 3rd half was even more fun. On Sunday, we traveled together to Exeter, where we watched Exeter Chiefs take a victory over the visitors from Bistrol Bears. In the evening we all went to a restaurant for a big team dinner. Monday was the trip home. Some with slightly tired faces… 2 x victory in England against North Dorset RFC! Our u-14 started the day with a great 52-10 victory. Then the men’s team won 93-7.
