After an intense weekend of top, medium and not the highest levels of Sevens rugby the teams are going back home.

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) invited their men's and women's champions to play in Copenhagen Scandinavian Sevens 2011. This turned out to be a good decision as both teams, Trinity College and Limerick Bohemians, managed to reach the finals and win.

The women's cup final result was a comfortable 43-0 win for the Limerick Bohemians against Dutch Susie's Valkyries. The best Scandinavian performance was the Vikings Invitation team from Denmark that finished as runners up in the Cup pools.

The men's cup final was more exciting with both teams leading during the match. Finally, the Trinity College team managed to score a late try and win 31-21 against Susie's Exiles. The best Scandinavian teams were RK Speed I and Vikings DK that finished 2 and 3 in the Cup pool after Susie's Exiles.

In the lower ranking tournaments the finals were:

Men's Plate Clamart Rugby 92 (F)-Alibaa-Baas (D) 14-12

Men's Bowl Erritsø (DK)-Wexiö (S) 26-9

Women's Plate CBS Sport Rugby (DK)-Exiles RUFC (DK) 29-7

The old boys tournament was Saturday regained by West Coast Masters, Sweden.
