Denmark's Oldest Rugby Club in Search of a Head Coach
Are you passionate about rugby and coaching, and are you looking for a club that balances a drive to win with fun and enjoyment? If so, we might be looking for you.
Rugbyklubben Speed, located in Tårnby, just 8 kilometers from Copenhagen city center, is in search of a new head coach for our men's team. We are seeking a coach with proven experience as either a rugby coach or a rugby player who can nurture our relatively young players and help the club achieve its goals of winning all domestic tournaments.
As our new head coach, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and leading training sessions
- Providing feedback to players to aid in their individual growth and the team development
- Working closely with the team manager, board representative, and our senior leadership group to set the direction of the team
- Taking the lead on game days and selecting the team
Rugbyklubben Speed is the first rugby club founded in Denmark. Our youth division contributes many homegrown players to the first team, which comprises a mix of local players, expats, and a high number of national team players.
We are an amateur club currently ranked second in Denmark in 15-a-side rugby and first in Denmark in 7s. All senior players train together, regardless of their level of experience or skill. Therefore, you must be capable of coaching players of various skill levels.
Our training sessions take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:00 to 20:00, with games scheduled on weekends. While we offer financial compensation, please note that this position does not come with a full-time salary.
